I’m Rigzin, the founder of Lonely Universe, and this is how it all started.
Growing up in a small town in India, I never followed trends—I made my own. Back in 2022 One fine day, I picked up a brush and painted over an old pair of pants. No plan, no rules. Just pure expression. The next day, I wore them to college. People noticed. “Where’d you get those?” they asked. When I told them I made them myself, they were stunned. Some asked if I could do the same for them. That’s when it hit me. I could build something of my own.
But knowing what you want and knowing how to get there are two different things. I had no experience, no connections, no clue where to start. All I had was an idea and an obsession to make it real. I spent two months designing, locked in, figuring it out as I went. Then came the hardest part was finding a manufacturer who could bring my ideas to life. With Endless calls, rejections, and delays. I scraped together $300 and ordered blanks, thinking I could print them myself. That was a mistake.
The prints didn’t come out the way I imagined. I had to start over, call the manufacturer again, and wait. Another month passed before I finally held my first real piece in my hands. That moment—seeing my work come to life was surreal. I knew this was just the beginning.
Not everyone understood. My parents wanted me to play it safe, finish college, get a normal job. And for a while, I did. But even then, I never lost focus. Every spare moment, I was learning, working, building. Because once you see your vision clearly, there’s no turning back.
In 2023, I finally took the leap. Lonely Universe was born. Looking back now, at every setback, every late night, every doubt—I wouldn’t change a thing. Because this journey? It’s not just mine. It’s for anyone chasing something bigger than themselves.
And if you’re reading this, maybe it’s for you too.
